For an accurate appraisal of your luxury garment, Jacques Ferber is a name you can trust.
There are a variety of reasons for having your fur appraised. If your desire is to satisfy insurance requirements, our appraisers will consider the current replacement value of your garment, taking fur quality, manufacture, and square inches of surface into account. Other appraisals are conducted for estate purposes to determine the garment's taxable value. In this case we will look at the value of the fur in its current condition. Lastly, a fur may require an appraisal as a charitable donation. The appraisal then reflects the current retail market value.
With over 120 years of experience in the fur industry, a certificate of appraisal from Jacque Ferber is well recognized. Appraisals are kept on file for additional copies and updating. They are done at no charge for Jacques Ferber garments, and are available, for a fee, for furs from other manufacturers.
In all cases, we must inspect the fur in one of our stores. We can not appraise a fur over the telephone or through photographs.
